There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Custom Dynamics RT Brake Light

I recently had this light installed on the back of my 2014 RT LMT by a dealership. After getting home and trying it out it seems that the light is VERY dim and barely noticeable.

Any ideas on what I can do to get this brighter? I am a pretty long drive away from this dealership and would be a little difficult to get back.

Thanks for your help!

I believe there is a resister you can remove to make them brighter

There usually pretty bright before and after braking

WHat happens when you press the brake??

When I had mine installed, mine only lights up when you hit the brake pedal. I'm not using it as a running light. So the only time it will light up is when you hit the brakes. Mine is very bright when it lights up. It may not be properly grounded. I guess my question to you, is the brake light on all the time and when you hit the brakes it doesn't get any brighter? Please explain.

Mine are lit when the bike is on and they get brighter when the brake is applied. All three that I have had were dealer installed. I am guessing if there is a glitch, its in the wiring.

There is a separate module that you would have had to purchase to make this a running and brake light. Sounds as if yours wasn't wired properly. If you need help you can call Joe at 616-581-1304 and he can help you with the wiring. The removal of the rear panel is simple and you only need a 30 Torx and a flat tip screwdriver.

HMB Light

Hey,

If the dealer installed your light, then I suggest you take it back to them. I had a similar problem and took it back to have them install another light.
My replacement light has worked faultlessly. BTW I initially had it installed as a brake light only but changed it to a brake and running light for safety.

Mine is just like yours. Only lights up when the brake pedal has been depressed. However, the light is very dim when it is on.

Thanks, Ann...I will try to call soon!

Personally

I would have checked the light to make sure it was working properly and to my satisfaction before I left the dealership.

Sounds like they wired your brake wire up to the running light wire on the light. As some have said I would, as I did, wire mine to work both running and brake lights for added safety.
