There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have just joined the forum as I am considering purchasing a Ryker. Other than the motor and the price what is the difference between the 900 and 600?

From what I've read here, not much difference between them .... however the 900 Rallye has some options added go to the BRP website it will show you .... Mike

Go test drive them.
Last year I was thinking about trading my wifes '13 RTS manual trans on one because she hasn't ridden it in a year and it would be another toy for me to ride. So I went and rode both Rykers. I'm 6'3 255 and I ride a '15 RTL. The Ryker did not seem too small when riding it. The 600 is great for the price. The 900 has more noticeable power when you give it more throttle. What is it $1200 more for the 900? If its your first bike and you are a smallish person 600 will work fine for you for a long time. If you're a bigger person, not your first bike, and not concerned with the $1200 difference I would suggest the 900. I didn't trade for either because she didn't want me to get rid of her bike even thou she still hasn't ridden it. The Ryker doesn't come with storage and would need a throttle control for long rides. I know you can add storage but I've never been one to add a bunch of stuff to my bikes and I dislike throttle controls.

While looking at Rykers, I found the sound of the 600 twin to be a bit more pleasurable to the ear. Very minor, but worth noting. An aftermarket exhaust takes care of that issue.

I'm a 900 Rally owner, but I have to agree on this one, the 600 twin does have a really awesome sound! If sound and price point are key factors for the decision, the 600 can indeed be a good choice :)

900 could use more power. It’s fast enough but not over the top. I wouldn’t want less power. Buy the 900

I wish they had a manual trans w clutch option and a bigger engine option

What if I want a basic bike? I don’t want a large cruiser. How much more would a Ryker w a full manual transmission ?

I assume the bike would be significantly faster ?

There is no such Ryker ..... they ALL have a CVT transmission - period .... Mike

It would actually be slower. The CVT allows the the motor to put its maximum torque to the rear tire at any speed.

Decision made!! I had asked about the 600cc because there was a used 2020 low mileage unit for sale near me but I really wanted a 2021 900cc because of the updates.I put a deposit today on a 2021 900 and will be picking it up in about three weeks.

I wish the 900 was a bit more potent as well. From what I have been told your options are a PV3 with a tune or a Pedal Commander. Pedal Commander just boosts the signal for faster throttle response. PV3 with a tune actually changes the ECU, raises horsepower, top speed, acceleration , etc.
