• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Difficulty shifting down to 2nd gear when at running temperature - any ideas/information appreciated?

I have a 2010 RT-S with a full manual transmission. Recently, I have been having trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd when at running temperature. It shifts into 1st without difficulty, but when shifting from 1st to 2nd, occasionally it takes multiple attempts and frequently requires shifting back to 1st before attempting 2nd again. All other gears shift without difficulty. The clutch is working as expected. When cold, shifting is normal, no difficulties. There are no unusual noises and no error codes. Any information would be appreciated.

The clutch is hydraulic and needs the same maintenance as your brake fluid. Check the reservoir and flush the system. I wouldn't be surprised if its been in there for 15 years.

Also, those who put the fat foam grips on manual bikes reduce the throw on the clutch lever. That can keep the clutch plates from fully disengaging. A little drag goes a long way. Especially in the leap from 1st to 2nd.

Lastly, the master or slave cylinders can go bad. But I'd start with a flush and bleed.
