• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know how to remove this fastener without breaking the plastic post ? Do they make a tool for this ? It holds the chrome parts on my RT. Thanks for your help.

I use a small flat screwdriver to pry up or bend a couple of the spring loaded tangs enough to release the pressure and pop off the fastener. I can easily flatten the tangs again with a pair of pliers so they hold as good as new when reinstalled if I am not using new ones. When installing them, I use a deep socket that fits over the pin just enough to push the fasteners down gently and securely. I don't believe there is such a specialized tool for these fasteners, but I could be wrong. Hope this helps you.

If you pry open the edges with a small screwdriver, you can remove the fastener by jiggling it. Be careful not to pry open the edges too far or you might ruin them.

Then, flatten it out and you can reuse it. It can be a little tricky reinstalling them. You just need to press down evenly so it'll catch.

Thank You, I will try and get them off with a screwdriver without breaking the plastic post, which was my main concern.
