• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2014 rt s with some flat black paint

on it . Some one told my wife you could use

baby shampoo to Shain up the flat black anyone

hear of that before ? Thanks for all you help

Depends....

Are you wanting to clean the areas or make them shine like the regular paints...? The Black Diamond, Plexus, Protect all, pledge etc. all work for cleaning with some shine from those with an oil base. But oil based also attract dirt and dust faster. Flat paints wiped with WD-40 or armorall will be bighter or shinnier if that is what your looking for... baby shampoo is oil based...:dontknow:

your shine desire

The baby shampoo thing has me thinking you will leave a slight coating to achieve this ????.... If you do, it will get STICKY very fast and that will be attract dust/dirt etc...................Mike :bbq:

Satin black?

My RSS has satin black on it. It's more of a matte black. I use some motorcycle cleaner, Polish, and protector that I got from my dealer. I was told it's the old Honda formula under a different name. It gives it a brighter look but still looks matte. I was hit last summer and they had put a new fender on it and I could tell the difference between the two. My signature photo shows it just washed and polished.

Check out Chemicalguys.com they have a nice line of products just for matte paint. I have a friend that uses it on his matte painted BMW. Works great.

Lamonster detailing kit

I just used Lamonsters Diamond detailer on the dull front chip guard of my 622 trailer and it looks brand new again! This was my first use of my new detailing kit and so far I'm very impressed!

I'll have to check out Lamonster Garages cleaners. I have a matte finish GS that someone told me to try the Harley denim cleaner on and so far so good. But if I can get rid of the Harley stuff for Lamonster's I am ALL for that!!!
