• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gasoline smell & drip

Had a problem with strong gas smell but was taken care of ( I thought ) with throttle body update . I was riding today and when I stopped the strong gas smell was back . Headed home and pulled in to get gas and before filling noticed something dripping from the lower left air deflector below the oil access panel. Was a pretty good drip and when I smelled it found it was gasoline. Rode home and called the dealer about it and said to bring it in . They said there shouldn't be any reason for gasoline in this area . I couldn't see where it was coming from by removing the panel and when I got home there wasn't a drip. Any ideas or suggestions ?

I had a gas leak a while ago and pulled the tupperware off myself and found that it was leaking at the gas tank from one of the fittings coming off the top right side. Mine was not leaking where you are saying yours is but might be worth looking at. I just pulled the fitting off and replaced with a hose clamp.

Had the same gas leaking on the left side like you.

In my case, it turned out to be a faulty gas cap. You could ratchet it on, but after ryding a while, the cap would barely be on there. It was swapped out with a demo cap and no more leaks.

Getting a 'Commander' gas cap made by Can Am. It fits the Spyders and has a stronger ratcheting action.

Same smell

We had the purge valve replaced after 12,000 miles on our 2011 RT. When we pulled it into the garage after about 100 miles there was a strong fuel smell. No physical evidence just the smell. We will continue to monitor after a few hundred more miles and see what happens.

If you overfill the gas tank it'll flow to the evap canister and gas will drip from the overflow tube. Had the same problem on our 2010 RT shortly after we got it. Been carefull about filling the tank on the 2012 RT so haven't had that problem.

Gas drip

Wasn't from overfilling , hadn't started putting gas in yet when I saw the drip. No sign of gas around the gas cap anywhere . No drips when I got home but still strong gas smell like before. Don't plan on doing any riding except to get it to the dealers to look at. Said if it isn't dripping when I get it there they probably won't be able to fix it. An old saying....can't fix what ain't broke.

Thay are going to redo my throttle body again since it fixed the smell the first time . MPG has really taken a dive also....went from 35-37 to just under 30 now.
