There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Has Anyone else removed their F3T's windshield?

I hate windshields on bikes. My used Honda VTX1800 came with one. I took it off after a week. I took my F3T’s windshield off after three rides. I wanted to give it a chance but no it’s not for me. If it weren’t for the mirrors and gauges I would try to remove the fairing. (My belly and the Ryker gas tank don’t get along or else I would have gotten one of them.)

My reasoning is that I like minimal gear on the bike. I want handlebars, a speedometer, and a headlight. Saddlebags are ok as they are unobtrusive. I never use the radio. The wind and road noise are my tunes. Just the way I like it. Most of my friends back in Jersey think I’m crazy for no windshield. They all had one on their bikes. They’d make fun of me when I’m covered in bug goo or getting pelted with rain.

I don’t begrudge anyone running windshields. But I’m curious if others ride without one, especially since these models come with one stock.

Cheers

100% — I couldn’t agree more. Fortunately, my ’15 F3S came with none of the things I didn’t want: no windshield, floorboards, radio, speakers, touch screen, Bluetooth, or other distracting gizmos.
I’ve spent over 60 years on just about every genre of motorcycle except big touring rigs and not one had a windshield. I’ve outfitted my Spyder to be as motorcycle like as I can; a gas tank between my knees, feet on pegs and handlebars for my hands and my head in the wind. I ride ATGATT and my full face helmet’s shield is all the windshield I need. I’m not a Luddite. I like technology as much as anyone, but not when it comes between me and the elements of the ride.

I use my gauge spoiler during summer to get more airflow across my mesh armour, during winter my blue ridge goes back on to keep the cold air away from me.

I understand your reasoning. Just curious as to why you didn't get a F3 or F3S if you didn't want a windshild?

I too like my F3s stripped down. I don't spend hardly anytime on interstates. I ride pretty much just in these beautiful mountain roads in TN,VA, & NC.
I do like my F3 Ultimate boards though.

I like the simpler cockpit of the F3S but I wanted larger saddlebags than the S model offered. I also needed a bike that could tow a trailer. I didn’t see trailer hitch options for the S model. I’m planning a few long distance trips and need cargo space as well as a trailer to carry my wheelchair.

I ordered a Lumina XL trailer. Should be here in a week or so. My first trip is from Kentucky to Virginia, up to Pennsylvania, then back through Ohio to Kentucky.
