• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmet Visor

When I bought my Spyder earlier this year, I also got a new helmet, an HJC with a flip visor. Old HJC helmet was open face with a bill. Never had too much problem with riding into the sun with it; the new one is a different story, however. Has anyone dealt with a Super-Visor or a Sun Blocker from this company www.super-visor.com ?

I have an HJC IS-Max. Has the built in sun visor. Added a mirror shield to it. I love it. I can ride into the sun and with the mirror and the sun shield it does very well.

Never had any experience with the company you asked about though. Sorry.

My present helmet has a built in sun visor, but before that I used sun blocker film that I got from auto parts store (very inexpensive) and trimmed with scissors. It sticks to shield and removes easily-works really well.

Ditto!:2thumbs:

I have a Super Visor on my 3/4 HJC helmet and it works very well. It has stayed stuck on with zero problems. It blocks the sun well within limits- it's not all that long- but I can usually duck the sun at anytime. I did have an exception last week when the sun seemed to be sitting right in the road late in the afternoon and I had to ride with one hand up as a blocker. It was very dangerous for everyone on the road at that time.

It handles high speeds well, doesn't try to jerk your hat off if the wind gets under it.

I have a strip of "SunBlocker" on the shield of my HJC CL-MAX. To me, it's not as good as having a visor but it's a heck of a lot better than nothing. It works okay until the sun gets right in your eyes, then it's just not quite enough.

I have a "super-visor" on the helmet that I use for commuting. It is a great product. If you are going to glue it directly to your shield, you need to roughen the glue points with some fine sandpaper for a long term bond. :2thumbs:

Scott, Louisiana....you gotta be kidding! My mother and Father, both deceased are from Scott. Don't have any more relatives living there, but have a couple in Lafayette. In any event, thanks for the comment.
