• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Intro & Question

Morning/Afternoon where ever you are:spyder2: after Riding a Goldwing for years I looked around to get something my Wife would be able to ride and Love and I found the Spyder:spyder: Only thing bad, ok somewhat is I live in Washington Utah 4 hours from a Spyder Shop. Love being Riding again!!! Not much for Personal info. but just ask.

Question; I've replaced the Front Brake Pads but am trying to find out how to remove the "Round Black Saucer/Disc" Parking Brake so I can replace the Rear Pads On my 2012 Spyder RT-S EM5 (Manual Transmission?) Also looking for Shop Manuals (Books). Maybe Someone can help!

Welcome to the forum Sidercar. I hope you enjoy it. :congrats: On the new to you 2012 Spyder RTS with the SM5 transmission. You can find lots of good information here on the Spyder RTS in the different areas of the forum. Make sure and post a photo of your new ride in the Spyder Garage area of the forum. You should repost you question in the Spyder RT Touring area of the forum when you are able to. When you see your name turn blue that is when you will be able to post in all areas of the forum and see photos & videos posted. So repost your question and some one will reply. I don't think you need to remove the parking brake disk you just loosen the cable and remove the cable end (there is a spring in the disk to keep the cable tight, You can move the disk by hand to loosen) from the disk and that will allow you to remove the caliber after removing the bolts. The bolts have retaining clips on the back at the end of the bolt that you have to remove also to get them out. So repost your question where outers will see it and reply. Good luck with the brake job, I hope to see you around the forum soon.
