• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HID Foglights!!

I just brought the hid kit from can am spyder for the head lights, I'm looking to find some hid's for the fog lights. Do anyone knows what and where to get the best ones from???

HID foglights in addition to HID headlights might be a bit of overkill. I had the HID's on my 2008 GS and they lit up the whole corridor on dark roads.

I also had regular fog/driving lights in addition the the HID's.

the HID's were so bright that people were blinking their headlights at me both day and night. Had one person stop in front of me and tell me my lights were to bright. They were aligned properly.

At another time, I had a state trooper drive by me and give me the thumb's up on the lights though.

I have HID in all four pods I've had no problems, we have a couple of sponsors that sell them real reasonable check their forum:2thumbs:

Sounds like the problem was your lights were not aligned properly if you were getting that many people flashing you.

I've been running HID's in the headlights and fogs for 2 years now and I don't get flashed. I did at first but that was because the fogs were not adjusted properly for my weight on the bike.....

I got all of mine from www.kbcarstuff.com/?Click=19660

They are now a site sponsor....

Is it just me?
I've been contemplating an HID upgrade for my lights. I'm running stock now.
Last night I was out on some back roads, running the DIM lights, and no less than four cars were blinking their lights at me because they thought I was runing the high beams.
Yes, I'm absolutely certain I had the dim beams on.
I think any HID may be an overkill.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Sometimes people will flash because they;re not used to seeing the projector type bulbs and think they must be on hi-beams..... but I would make sure and check your alignment--- with your normal weight on the Spyder... the owners manual shows how to do this---

I don't know what the (really expensive) BRP HID kits run at (4300K, 6000K, etc...). But you should be able to get some to match pretty close from KB.

I'm running 4300 on all 4 and really like them.
