We saw two of them at the 2015 Tokyo motorcycle show. They are the real deal. Just a matter of timing at this point.

The gap in the market segment the author refers to, I believe, is in leaning trikes. Their only competition at the moment is Piaggio MP3 series. I owned the Piaggio 500, and though it was a fun ride, it had some limitations and tended to be finicky on some mechanical issues. The US market really never embraced the Piaggio, and this may be Honda's biggest hurdle.

I thought the the author did a good job summarizing what information is there about the Honda design.

The option to remove or not is yours. As for what you read vs what I read, I took a moment and opened the link and read the article again. The only reference I noticed was to Honda ATC three wheelers from the 70s/80s which caused them huge legal issues and were designed for off road.

Please, if I missed something, let me know, but I did not read any references to other brands.

As for the NeoWing, I would consider Honda realizes the market exists, with brand loyal customers, ready to trade in a two wheel Gold Wing for something not requiring great effort to hold up, and less likely to fall in a corner. The article basically showed that Honda has filed the patents, and is focused on a leaning three wheeler. My time around Gold Wing riders that know there two wheel days are limited, indicates they like the idea of a three wheel motorcycle, but would prefer a leaner.

I had to go back and read what I wrote again after seeing his comment haha. Everyone has the right to their own opinion of course but that one had me scratching my head.

Exactly... You hit the nail on the head. Yup yup, you're spot on with it being a large hurdle for Honda if they really want to bring the NEOWING to market. It's going to take a lot of money in marketing among other things to get people behind it but if anyone can do it, Honda can and they've got deep enough pockets to give it a try whether it be a flop or not haha.

I'm far from a good 'writer', mainly started the blog to help people find detailed info on certain models that Honda doesn't really make it easy on and every now and then I'll cover new stuff like this I stumble across. Never anticipated 10,000+ hits a day would come from it a year after I started posting my ramblings etc online haha. Means a lot when people take the time to actually say stuff like that so thanks again guys.

Thanks for keeping up on this. If Honda builds a Neowing that is more like a Goldwing I'll be in line with my check book.
