• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just replaced all brake pads with ebc pads front calipers cool to the touch back caliper pretty hot is this normal or could something be sticking

Are you sure you fully released/wound in the rear piston before fitting the new pads, &/or that you fitted the rear caliper correctly? :dontknow:

A hot rear disc suggests that the back caliper has one or more dragging pads.... the rear disc shouldn't really be any hotter than the front discs! :lecturef_smilie:

Good advise. Also, be sure the pads are moving freely on the slide/locator pins.

The rear brake does apply earlier and release later than the front pads (helps stabilize the Spyder when braking). That's why the rear pads usually wear out before the fronts. So if you are braking very lightly the rear will get hotter than the fronts.

To be sure all is well simply raise the rear wheel and spin it. It should turn relatively free. You have the drag of the belt and drive. But it should still spin without an abrupt stop.

Or, you can ride using no brakes and pull over (if you can do it safely without using the brakes) and check for heat on the rotors.

But also double check the park brake adjustment as it will change when working on the brakes/replacing pads...:thumbup:
