How do I hear my radar detector?

I have had several people ask how I hear my radar detector on my spyder. The Uniden R1 has a loud whistle tone that can be heard under most circumstances, but I just made it easier! I purchased a bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the audio jack on the radar detector and sends the signal to my SENA headset! These are available on amazon.

I know people are going to make remarks on this thread saying radar detectors dont work. Well, to these people I say you havent tried a Uniden R1, R3, R4, or R7. These are amazing radar detectors and have saved my butt many times with exceptional range(sometimes 2 or 3 miles). My brother, who is a state trooper, didnt believe it until he saw it in action. He was amazed. The Uniden also has stealth technology so it cant be seen by detector detectors. I sometimes do some spirited riding and my detector has prevented several tickets.

100% agree with the value of the Uniden R series. The best solution to be notified is to connect a low voltage LED to the speaker output. You can buy one from Marc Parnes or assemble your own. No beeping to interrupt your speakers and the LED is very noticable, as it goes up in bars the LED gets brighter.
