...and countless stop signs!
I went on a group ride for children's charities. There was close to 1000 bikes on this ride! Now, I really HATE big group rides, but this was was different. It was 40 miles with police escort and several police departments and fire departments blocking all the intersections and the group never had to stop.
The ride ended up in downtown Flint, MI on the main drag (which is all bricks). There were WAY more bikes there. There were probably 3,000 bikes there. The main drag was about a mile long with Sturgis style parking and every cross street had parking for a block each way.
The weather was awesome!
Several police departments were showing off their slow speed motorcycle techniques...I saw at least 3 officers drop their bikes! But I was impressed by their abilities...especially since they were all missing a wheel!!!
Big thanks to 2ndChildhood (Tom) for posting here about this event. Too bad more Spyders didn't participate. There were only 5 in the group ride and about a dozen or so at the downtown event.
