• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I really like . . . .

. . . . Indian Motorcycles - especially vintage, say around 1948 - which is my 'vintage' also. And I really like some trikes too.

This, not so much. Not for me, but I am sure it hits the sweet-spot for some.

Sweet...

very nice rig regardless of the price..:2thumbs: thanks for the post don't think I've seen any Indian trike (new age)...

Nice But Pricey

Considering that new 2015 Roadmaster in two-tone is about $28,000 for just the bike I would guess the triked out price is well over $40,000 out-the-door. Sweet looking and very retro!!

Not sure on price, due to health reasons they traded 2 nice machines in for it. The retro look is cool. Lots of lights on back for higher visibility and a deep throaty tone. The next addition will be for Joe Friday-the dog.

Was fond of Indians as a young kid. The only thing this trike is missing is a set of 1950s Caddy fins!

Hannigan and Roadsmith both do trike conversions on the Indian. Cherokee Cycles has a Chieftain listed for 39,999.

2015 Roadmaster

The Roadmaster is a full-dresser version of the Chieftain with a tour-pack trunk, lowers on the crash-bars, upgraded seat and a few other details.

Saw one almost exactly like this at the rock store last week, same color and everything. Was VERY nice looking, but i bet it couldn't keep up with an RT, especially in the corners, trikes dont handle so well.

They said it handles great in the corners, because it has independent suspension. They can lean into the corners like we do.

I really, really, really like that Indian trike. Five years ago, I would have been on the net to find and purchase one (given all the current parameters were in place). If you like retro looks, this is for sure the bomb.:yes:

Who is the trike manufactured by. I saw one on line but cannot remember if it was Hannigan or Roadsmith. I really like your friends Indian trike.

I did a quick look . . .

. . . . . and the ROADSMITH IC-RTrike Conversion kit for Indian Chieftain and Roadmaster at trikeshop.com is probably about $20k ( options will make some difference ).

That is the kit ( including painting ). Installation and motorcycle are extra.
