• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Internet Explorer 10

Updated to the latest version of IE 10 a couple of days ago. It took me a while to make the connection, but afterwards I was unable to utilize the <Enter> key in posts or PMs to create a new paragraph. I reverted to IE 9 and everything is OK. Don't update to 10, it has a fatal flaw. The automatic spell check is nice, but paragraphs are nicer. If you use IE, stick with IE 9 for now.

I switched to Google Chrome a while back because I could not print anything with IE9. Maybe give it a try. It has the spell check feature.

I have it on my netbook. Not crazy about it, probably because I am just used to IE, but it does work well on pads and netbooks. On the PC, it seems to be real fast for some things and excruciatingly slow for others, at least for what I have done with it. For IE I have the spell check via the Google toolbar, but having the continuous spell check like in Word was nice. Too bad they had to screw up the keyboard in the process.

Most in the know consider IE to be all but dead, it's not supported well and has fallen far behind Firefox and Chrome. I'd recommend Chrome, it's fast and secure and Google is leading the way in internet technology for PC's, Tablets, and smart phones. It may be a pain getting used to a new browser but after you do you'll never go back to IE.

We all know that Scotty loves the classics. Motorcycles, internet operating systems, etc. :roflblack:

Scotty isn't the only one. I still wear penny loafers, white socks and roll up my jeans. I don't smoke anymore so I don't carry my packs rolled up in my T shirt sleeve.

I am going to leave mine right where it is. I know I have Windows 7--but have no idea what version IE I am running. It ain't broke--so I am not going to try to fix it. :roflblack:

Just don't say yes to the IE 10 when the Windows Update pops up. nojoke

i'm in with the penny loafers, but what's with the white socks? barefoot in the loafers is the way to go!:clap:

Gotta agree on Chrome. I had been using Firefox for a few years, but once I got on the Chrome there's no going back. I've only found one website that is problematic using Chrome..... UPS.com . You cannot print labels out if using Chrome for some reason. UPS is aware of the problem.... I made sure of that.

Even use Chrome on my iPhone and iPad now...... love it!

Scotty, I think I still have some old AOL floppies if you'd like them..... :roflblack:

Heck... might even have some of the old CompuServe ones too..... lol.

Really despise IE......

Be patient

Wait! You mean I'm not in style anymore?

Just cool your jets you will be in the style groove by middle summer time. History always repeats itself so that those of us that missed a major event can experience it the second time.

we humans never seem to get it right the first time around! Do we?

I would like to join you. What do you have to do to rervert back to 9. Sorry, but not familiar with how to do this.
