• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Dodgen cabins, Pigeon Forge. My wife and I have stayed at those a few times and enjoyed it. Far enough off the beaten path but close enough to town to be handy. Ph. number number 1 800 388 1906 you can google them and see pics of the cabins.

Depends on what you want. I always stay on "the quiet side of the Park" in Townsend, TN. Little traffic, easy access to the park, very close to Cade's Cove. Riding from there to the Dragon is on Foothills Parkway, which is a great road on its own.

TOWNSEND is a MUST nicer place to stay (Quiet side of the Smokies) or you could stay in Wears Valley...It's half way in between Pigeon Forge and Townsend.

I, too, recommend Townsend. Quiet little town, but close to all the attractions. They have a festival coming up the end of this month. Very enjoyable.

:2thumbs: We've stayed a number of times at: terrykaycabinrentals.com Husband & wife operation handling their own 8 cabins. Located in the Pidgeon Forge/Wears Valley area. Clean & reasonable. Check them out on their web site.
