Is the extended warranty from BRP a good value?

Hello,

New here. Have my new RT on order.

I was wondering if you all thought the Extended Warranty was a good value.

Also, if you purchased a warranty. Would you mind giving some "ballpark" of what you paid for it and for how long you covered it?

Good value? Good question. If you need it, yes it is good value, but if you don’t need it’s a waste of money. All a waranty is, is an insurance policy. Invaluable IF you have problems but a waste of your hard earned cash if you don’t.

My dealer wanted $1700.00..... = 3yr! Wow..NOT... emailed Imotorsports.....$671.00 = 3 yrs. of extra warranty - won't have to worry if something happens... $50.00 deductible........ I'm good till may 2026........ well worth it, one thing goes wrong or breaks, it will cost more than the warranty cost... DO IT!......... road side assistance......

A good value if you do some due diligence as to the purchase price. We have seen prices from $671 to $1700. Caveat Emptor.

....Like they say, it you feel 'lucky' don't buy the insurance/warranty. I for one, bought it for $671.00 = 3 years. Definitely shop around. .....:thumbup:

I look at it like whoever is selling you the warranty is betting you won't ever need to use it as a consumer, and you are betting that you will need to use it at some point and make your money back.

I'm not big on paying for extended warranties on appliances or "home warranties" or automobiles for that matter. But I have had some policies in the past. It is a gamble though and I've had some pay off and some not. For the Spyder the $671 for 3 yr BEST warranty I think is reasonable and I've purchased it for my F3S.

During my Spyder ownership, I needed to have warranty work done 3 times while under the extended warranty. Each repair cost exceeded the entire cost for the warranty. Sold the Spyder a week after the warranty ran out. It obviously was a great investment for me...... Jim

yea im thinking the same thing, will keep mine till 2026, and get another one, the color i want, hopefully we can go to a dealer, and pick out what we want..

The Best warranty is the very best out there, it is a factory warranty and just so are fully informed, selling a warranty is the highest profit margin product the Dealer can sell. The $671 price is easily available with a simple phone call. Give your dealer a chance to get close to that, if not call the other dealers that will gladly sell you a warranty for close to $671.00. You do not have to purchase the Best from your selling dealer. I motosports is one that will happily accommodate.

It's a decision only you can make, based on your risk tolerance. I've bought it for both bikes and never used it. I don't regret it for the peace of mind it gave me at the time, but now I know how reliable these machines are and have learned to do my own maintenance and minor repairs, I wouldn't buy it again.
