• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Riding season is almost here in WI. The weather keeps going up and down like a roller coaster. I'll be on a long trip in early June and would like to disable my 2014 RT DESS beforehand... so as not to get stranded somewhere along the way to and fro. I live in Beaver Dam WI. Is someone near who can disable it for me. I have BUDS but only the diagnostic version. It doesn't allow me to disable DESS, just to add new keys. Thanks, and ryde safe where the weather is better.
 
I'll look into that... thanks for the info. I just want to turn DESS off. I've got 3 unchipped keys cut that work on the bags/trunk and ignition. I just need to prevent being stuck in the Texas Hill Country with a DESS error. Mine is a new-to-me '14 RT, first season beyond the 6 years with my RS. Thanks so much!!!

Thanks... I just tried it with the supplied code, adding it to BUDS (same version) and it won't read the ECM...
I have a note out to them. Thanks for your help, Dick. Worst case I'll be headed south to SpyderJerry, as he has buds with the working Megatech and will help me if I need him to. This board has so many helpful people in the Spyder community. Thanks again!
 
When I start BUDS I get this screen and have to select Engineering to get Megatech functions.

What I find interesting is that my Engineering license is still active. Is it connected to my All Products Dealer license, which is still valid, somehow?

I was able to install and turn off DESS today... so no surprises, at least with the key, on long trips this summer. YAY!
