There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have been looking for a large top case for my 2008 Spyder, and found one at Twistedthrottle.com. They are the only US distributor for the new
"Coo Case". This is an awesome case! They have several colors to match your bike, (mine is full moon silver) and the S48 Luxury edition case will fit (2) full face helmets (Yes it does) and comes with a soft foam liner, remote lock/unlock, brake and tailights and an alarm! The cost for the case was $299.00 + I had to purchase an adapter plate and topcase rack for Givi. Total Spent was $448.49! This was an awesome price compard to others, and I think it looks great!

If interested for your bike, you will need to order the following part numbers: (No, I don't work for Twisted Throttle) Just want to help feloow Spyder Riders.

(1) # Givi SR770.M5 Top Case Rack Monokey for Can Am Spyder

(1) # CC.S48.L.1647 Coo Case S48 Topcase Luxury Edition

(1) #TT-00011 CooCase Wiring Kit (Free)

(1) #GPT.00.152.153_TWT Coocase to Luggage rack adapter kit to fit Givi FZ and SR series top racks.

I should also mention that this case comes off the rack with just a push of a button, so you can remove it and take into a hotel room, etc. (When you lock the case, either by key or with remote, it also locks this button)Their is a fixed plug with contacts for your power, lights, alam, etc. They provide a rubber plug to put over the small contact block when you don't have the case mounted to the rack.

Thanks for posting about the Coocase... I was looking at them this afternoon... I have the Full Moon also and was wondering how the silver would look.. looks like it is a good match.... should look good with my R35 bags with the silver panels...

Yes....the glossy silver matches great! I think it looks nice on my bike, and has lots of room and features! You can also add a rubber backrest for about $30 or so.

It's too cold to ride here in Michigan, so I haven't ridden with it, but I am very happy with the quality, features and price!

Ride Safe!

Our bike is like Your's and we have the similar hard case also from twisted throttle, with no back rest. We are playing with ideas on getting a back rest but what kind and does the passenger find this one comfortable. Would you be able to take a front picture of the back seat. Trying to figure out if your seat is mounted to the front of the top case or still attached to your seat! thanks from WI:thumbup:

I went with a Givi but I did look at what you got as an option...you did great...it's a really nice looking bag and it's built very well. Great choice!!

I didn't get the backrest for my CooCase. But if you go onto Twistedthrottle.com I believe there is a picture of the backrest mounted on the case. It's a rubber pad that screws to the case from the inside.

Thanks:]

Thanks, I wondered because in the back view of the pic it is hard to see if it comes with it or is separate, our seat right now looks like it but of course we can not use it with the new luggage rack, looks like we are back to getting the separate seat to add on!

more pictures

I would like to see some pictures of the mount without the case, Thank you if you can do that

If you have the BRP Sport Rack and Backrest, some owners have mounted topcases to the Sport Rack lid that you use when you don't use the backrest. Some reinforcement may be required, and some of the latches have had to be repaired. The Givi SR770 rack will not mount with the Sport Rack, to the best of my knowledge.

There are monokeys and monolocks...the monolocks use a more simplistic bracket design that can be attached to the sport rack...yes, the rack has to be drilled, but the fit and function are fine. For the Monokeys, you cannot use the sport rack, as far as I know.

I have the E470 Monolock...love it! It's HUGE and with the backrest and rear brake lights installed, it's highly functional!

I have the GIVI V46 topcase installed behind the BRP sport rack/backrest. Someone said this can't be done without removing the BRP backrest; it can be done. If there is any interest, I'll take pics and post.

If I wanted to go to a larger GIVI topcase, I believe I can.

Behind the sport rack? This is interestting...reason? The rack is there to put stuff on anyway and the Givi cases all have optional backrests that can be installed if you have someone riding behind you...

When I first bought the spyder a few years back, my first mod was the BRP sport rack/back rest. Then I decided I needed more storage area and since I already had the BRP back rest I decided to go behind the back rest. Someone on here made a mounting plate that bolted to the back side of the back rest. The mounting plate is held parallel by way of a 1/4x20 bolt with a rubber snubber attached. To that plate I mounted the GIVI E250 universal mount and the GIVI V46 to it.

I wasn't trying to jack this thread. I was just trying to point out to the "someone" that has mentioned here and previously about not being able to mount a GIVI topcase when you have the BRP back rest.

And, I actually have you to thank for switching from a soft sided bag to the GIVI. But, I thought you had the V46 and found out later that you had a slightly bigger topcase.

I was trying to find it on twisted throttle but can't. It is" SR770.M5 Givi Topcase rack" off my invoice and the sales guy said it would go with the GIVI #25556/ GIVI V46NT. I am unable to take pics because the bike is at a friends shop waiting for instructions to go ahead and work on it. Now with all the comments I am begging to wonder if we got the right part:(

The SR770 may be able to be mounted to the Sport Rack cover with a little ingenuity, but it is not intended to be mounted that way. If it is mounted to the cover, the mounting brackets that fasten to the Spyder frame will not be able to be used as intended.
