• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm in Waukee, IA and use Hicklin Power Sports. Great service and have always been able to make an appointment to get work done. Their mechanic Travis is very good and gets thingsdone right the first time.

Ken, Metro Harley in Cedar Rapids has my vote. If you read my posts from last fall you will see that I had a pretty severe issue with my Spyder and they took very good care of me. Their tech is certified, goes to the schooling and knows his stuff. He completely rebuilt my Spyder and it has been problem free.

When I was wanting to look at Spyders last fall, I went to both Leer's and Metro. I live about 10 miles from Leer's and about 50 miles from Metro.

Leer's didn't have anything on the floor, although they did have a used 2012 RT-Ltd that they let me sit on. They just didn't seem all that interested in selling me one. It took a while to get anyone's attention. I'm not sure how good their service department is.

On the other hand, the moment I walked into Metro, they were asking me what I was interested in, had Spyders on the floor and answered every question that I had. We even talked about Eric's experience with them and hearing their side of the story convinced me that I should purchase my Spyder from them. I purchased my 2013 RT-Ltd in February and since I got my motorcycle endorsement in April, I've put over 1500 miles on it. They also have an excellent Spyder tech and are in the process of getting another tech trained. If I was you, I'd check both of them out, but for me, I'm sticking with Metro even though it's farther from my house.
