Hi all, if it hasn't quite reached you yet, it will very soon - September is already bursting into the Antipodean Spring Down Under; so here's Little Blue's September 2021 Weather News thread for everyone to keep us up to date on what the ryding weather's like in your neck of the woods! :dontknow:

And just so we don't forget why this thread is called what it is - Hope things are all going as well as you would like & hope Little Blue; we're still sending healthy, healing thoughts &  your way!

September began with a whimper here in the Desert S.W. The thunder, lightening, and monsoon rain forecast for last night and today only resulted is a few very light rain sprinkles. There is a mix of white fluffy clouds and sun with a high of about 90 today. We are expecting some temperature increase towards triple digits as the week progresses. But nothing major or spectacular in the foreseeable future. Stay safe..... Jim

Coupla nice days & a bit of warmth to start our Spring; but here we are not yet 7 days in and now we're back to cold, foggy weather with rain whenever it's not foggy.... :gaah:

Hoping it's only for a few days tho, with any luck we should get a bit more sunshine later next week... Bring on the Spring Ryding Weather! :ohyea:

When Ida came through south central PA, she took our hot and humid weather with her as she left. Beautiful weather again today here... 69 degrees and sunny with some high wispy white clouds. Expecting a high of 78!

Ride Safe,
Gina J

We went for a nice 80 mile ride yesterday. Temps were in mid 80's. Still wearing my summer t-shirt. There is now a "hint" of fall colors starting to pop up in our area. Mostly green still, but if you look hard you can see the yellow tinges. If this were Alaska, the leaves would be coming down in about a week. :gaah:

The next 10 days looks like highs of 105 and lows of 82 for the desert S.W. Took the cover off the trike today. It' been in hibernation since the 1st of June except for one little ride a few weeks ago. Battery maintainer is all green lights. Time to wake Fat Old Grey (my trike) up for another riding season. No rain or storms in the forecast. I'll do some early morning rides for the next couple weeks. Then day temperatures should be perfect for longer touring. Stay safe..... Jim

Here in my part of South Oz, we had a few warm Spring days last week, temps up over 30°C a bit, mostly sunny and some really great ryding weather - it felt really wunnerful not having to rug up in all the warm gear and make sure that I had my wet weather gear with me too; but then yesterday winter came back to haunt us with a vengance! :yikes:

Started out fine enough, but as the day progressed we saw the arrival of a cold front bringing damaging winds, thick cloud, heavy rain, and single digit temps.... and it's now sitting right over us, moving very slowly, & it's expected to dawdle the rest of the way across the State taking the whole of the coming week!! . Dammit, just when I was getting used to ryding in nice weather again! :banghead: . Still, at least I hadn't put all my warm gear & wet weather stuff away... :p

Maybe we'll get back into Spring next week... :dontknow:

Weather has been mostly in the 80's. Another week of low 90's coming. Pretty soon, fall will edge in and it will be good bye 80's.

It's still been unseasonably warm here in the desert S.W. Highs at 105+ and lows in the mid 80s at night. We are looking at a very gradual cooling trend. No rain at all in the forecast. Looks like we may have seen the end of the monsoon season. The wetter than normal summer has produced BUGS!!! Lots of butterflies, moths, and other unidentifiable critters. Going to need an extra can of Plexus windshield cleaner. Riding with the face shield open is not an option. Stay safe..... Jim

Tuesday

:coffee: Hello and Good Morning.
Thanks Again for all your prayers. The last two months have been an amazing health path for me to walk

Only because of my faith, I have made the journey.

Please Pray for me as I still have some ruff roads to travel.

Oh yeah, Indiana has been hotter this year than past years.

High today only 91°F with sunshine. Low of 73°F.
Enjoy your Day and Stay Healthy.........

Good to hear that things are going well; now all you've gotta do keep on keeping on! Healing thoughts &   heading your way!

It was a Fantastic day for ryding here in South Oz today..... just so long as you didn't mind the single digit temps (3°C), the strong & gusty winds, and the frequent sudden but thankfully short downpours! . And I hadta ryde into the city in all the 'rush to work' traffic too :banghead: - instead of taking my usual path and heading the other way entirely to find some deserted twisty roads! :D . I dunno, but I suspect something must've given my displeasure with that necessity away, cos it was like I was ryding in a bubble of calm - all the cagers seemed to see me coming, parted before me, & basically kept well clear! And it seems that all the blind, drunk, or simply ignorant kamikaze drivers out there stayed home too - I rode into the city, got all my business done, and rode all the way home without having to take evasive action once or even brake hard to avoid some other driver who seemed set on trying to kill me ! So like I said, Great Day for Ryding here! :ohyea:

Where are you?

:shemademe_smilie: .....My wife of 22 years has been by my side throughout this major health ordeal.
I praise God for her help and support.

Please Pray for me.

Come back to the 'Weather News" and report about your Local Weather News

Thanks Again....

Good to hear from you! How would we manage without the love and support of our wives? Don’t know how people do it on their own and without faith and hope.

Not near the reds as in wetter years, seems most leaves going from yellow to dead…

No major color yet. Mostly green with some tinges of yellow. Hoping we will get to see some of the reds and oranges, but the jury remains out. Time will tell. Weather is beautiful. Great riding weather.

I have been encouraged

:coffee: Just wanted to let everyone know, I have enjoyed catching up with the 'weather news'.

Let the good times roll. .......

Indiana weather news: high today 82°F with sun.
Low 63°F. Currently 55°F.

Ryde with peace. .......

Cooler

'Nicholas' provided south central PA with a little more rain and humidity, but this morning we have beautiful sunshine -- cool 68 degrees and less humid with a predicted high of 79. I could get used to this!
Packing to leave for Americade... fall or summer stuff??? Guess (as usual) it will be some of both. Heated gear, rain gear, tires checked.... today trying to connect our Sena 30 units to my hubby's android phone... hoping route directions will transmit to each of our helmets (2 Spyders). Shouldn't be too hard... right?!?

Ride Safe,
Gina J
