• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

new mercedes truck,,, the future is here

 But that thing will require a massive upgrade to infrastructure; in order for it to work as planned...

Very nice John! I love the looks and the technology.

Still wondering about all this auto pilot stuff and how that is going to work in the future.

Yesterday we encountered a pickup truck trying to gain speed to enter the Glenn Highway from a black ice, covered ramp. He lost control halfway through the ramp, did a 180, recovered, hit the highway and did another 180 skidding sideways across both lanes of traffic and ending up pointed the wrong way in the median which was snow covered. Fortunately, he did not flip the truck over--which usually happens.

The incident took less than 10 seconds. The highway was not packed. We were going about 55 and he went across our front about a half block away when he entered the highway.

What would the truck technology do in this situation?

Snazzy! However... "Massive upgrade to infrastructure" is the least of the potential problems and havoc this could ultimately bring!!:yikes: Bad wiring - computer glitches - idiot other drivers not using this system - sabotage. Dig up a story called The Roads Must Roll by Robert A. Heinlein. To quote Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott: The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain!:roflblack:
