• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. New Spyder Patent

Saw this on Spyder Life Magazine http://spyderlife.net/2018/05/29/new-spyder-design/

It appears to be only bodywork but gives a good idea of what we may see soon from BRP. I personally like the look although seems heavy on plastic and coverings like past models. Looks to be too complicated for the rumored Project S model but possibly there is another new model in the works?

Hard to tell from these details what the overall riding position will be? Looks like it could either way, sport or cruise?

It is likely not the under 10K model. That is due out sooner than what usually follows patent drawings.
More likely an evolutionary continuation of the Spyder with some changes, maybe shaft drive, and reworked radiator location and cooling?
Would not expect to see anything on wheels for a couple years.

Well....

Hopefully won't be filed away as so many are and never see the light of day...it does look interesting..

I don't believe these were filed to "shelve" it. The drawings show mounting points, bosses and tabs on some of the pieces which to me means there is a full 3D model of the design developed to the point of functional. That doesn't mean everything you see here will be in the final product but it makes no sense to refine a design to the functional level and then not use any of it.

Actually reminds me of the Daytona turbo concept they showed. If so that might be bad for people like me because thats a cruiser seating position.

Interesting concept that looks like an F3 with a "shaft drive ". If so that would be an improvement to be sure.

;) Time will tell the Tale...

It's time to start looking for references to "Spyke" on the internet...
If you find something related to Can Am or BRP: post it!
