• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife's 2015 F3S has been throwing P0203:codes off and on since day one. Took it to dealer and was told wire to #3 injector loose, checked connectors and plugged it back in. Now 500 miles latter it start throwing the code again, P0203, will run on two cylinders for a while and then go back to three then back to two. Any ideas?

Bummer..!!

did they check all or only #3. If one was affected not a reach that the others could be. If its the same one may need more work. Were the plugs checked..?? :dontknow:

There is a separate code for each injector, P0201 - P0203, left, center, right cylinder, respectively. One of the causes listed for each code is damaged circuit wires. Corrective action requires B.U.D.S. is not worth listing here. Your description of the problem IMO could be result of damaged circuit wires with the on and off behavior.

The corrective action for the code calls for connecting to B.U.D.S. and checking that injector is functioning the way it's expected to. No mention of plugs as I recall.

Can you confirm that this is warranty work and not something you have to pay dealer to fix. I am having my 2015 F3-S delivered to me over next few weeks and I just need reassurance that if there is a problem similar to yours its covered under the 2 year BRP warranty.

No worries here in the UK, Darren. Any fault, and this is a fault, would be covered by your guarantee.
In the first year you have the protection of the Sale of Goods Act.
Our dealers know that and operate within it's parameters.
Consumers in the US do not have this protection in law and it seems to be that any dealer/manufacturer
can use their discretion whether to repair FoC or not.
In the UK we have a Statutory Rights guarantee which ensures that consumers cannot be made a victim
of an unscrupulous dealer. After the first year, if the fault is not corrected permanently by a repair and subsequently
reoccurs it is the dealer who foots the bill as by asking to have the fault fixed you have entered into a legally binding
contract with the repairer to have the fault eliminated. If he can't make a successful repair then it's still his problem.
We're lucky to have a very conscientious bunch of dealers here and all of them will do the right thing for their customer.

Thank you Geoff

Thank you Geoff for putting my mind at rest and after reading your reply, I am now reassured.

Dropped in on Ricky Clayborn owner of Outlaw Laser Alignment, who is set up here for Spyders in the Smkies, hooked up BUDS and found that the bike has thrown 221 codes in the last 20 hours of riding. He took a screen shot picture of the BUDS info and emailed to me so I can show it to the dealer, all this and didn't charge a dime. Not to many businesses that would do that for a drop in. I also got to talking about my F3 stating that it didn't seem to steer well in the twisties he offered to check alignment for no charge. He found the alignment to be within specs but the handlebars were not straight. I told him I had talked to the shop that did the laser alignment and questioned the bars not being straight and was given some BS. Ricky got the bars straight and what a difference, he also found that I have thrown 3 codes on the steering. It is going to be interesting when I go to the dealer.
