• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Pandora or Slacker Radio?

What is everyone else using? I have been using Pandora for quite a while, but today I downloaded Slacker radio. So far I like it.

Another thing, I have a 5GB data plan with my blackberry, how much usage do these streaming stations use?

I am using iheartradio. You can choose the city you want the stations to come from and its great for traffic when traveling.

I have all 3 of those apps on my Blackberry, and like each one for different reasons. It should not eat up that much bandwidth as they are streaming the songs to you, unless you are listening to it 24/7 I would think your 5 GB plan would be fine.

Cool :2thumbs: thanks. I'm going to download the iheartradio and check it out! Any other cool apps I don't know about?

You should go to Blackberry App World, if you haven't already. There are a couple of free apps that I use quite often.

Poynt is like a GPS search assistant rolled into one. It uses your GPS to figure out where you are, then you ask it to find things like the nearest gas station (or the cheapest fuel), restaurants, people, businesses, and so forth. It will display the address and phone number of the place and also give you driving directions from your current location.

Another one is Weather Eye, which allows you to put in the cities you are interested in getting weather forecasts for. You select a home city, and the icon for the app shows the current weather conditions for that city when you mouse over it. Launch the app and you have all kinds of different forecast options as well.

Blackberry app world was the first app I installed. I already have point and weather eye, but found I'm using weatherbug more than my other weather apps.

I downloaded the iheartradio ..... so far it's great. I'm going to keep all three apps on the phone, they are all great for different reasons. I wish there was a way to bluetooth the music to my scala rider Q2.

I did have my blackberry paired to my zumo 550, then to my scala rider and everything was working fine. Tonight I tried to pair my berry with the scala to see if I could stream music, no luck. Funny thing was I couldn't make a call either. Guess I'll go and hook everything back the way it was.
