• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Phone mount recommendations

I'm finding that BRP connect is not all that I thought it would be, and may just use my phone and the WAZE navigation program. I'm looking for recommendations for a specific phone mount that works well on the handlebar of the Spyder RT. I'm assuming that I could keep the phone charging by connecting to the USB port in the "glove box" even if not using BRP connect.

I have a Tackform mount that I purchased from Motorcycle Dave. Its a very good mount, works well with my large phone, highly recommended

I also have the Tackform mount from Motorcycle Dave. Works very well with iPhone. It is mounted through one of the 4 bolts on the center handle bar mount on 2021 RT. Very solid. I connect my iPhone with the USB from the glove box for charging. I use the Maps app for navigation.

Did you get a handlebar mounted model or the center mounted model? I'm not anxious to unbolt the center bolts and I guess I would lean toward the handlebar mounted one.

Not a problem to remove one bolt, as you would be replacing it with one supplied with the Tackform mount. by far the best phone mount out there, well made, solid and fits a wide variety of phone sizes. You will not be disappointed.

I used the center mounted model. As mentioned above a replacement bolt is supplied with the mount it is slightly longer for mounting the Tack form center mount.

Does the phone holder get in the way of the glove box, or block the screen at all? And I notice on the website that no prices are shown. What would that phone mount cost me?

No, it does not get in the way of the glove box. There is a long stem and short stem I used the short stem. You have many ways to position it on the center handle bar mount. As mentioned above Motorcycle Dave will fill you in on your options.

I found the best way is getting the Top Cuffs from Lamonster Garage. This way you can add additional things (water bottle, power direct to battery, etc.) as you need them.

For my plus size iPhone Pro Max and the suit of armor (Otterbox Defender case) it wears, the RAM mount large X-grip is the phone mount of choice for me. Mounted using a U-bolt, I love the versatility in positioning. The tether adds a little extra peace of mind.

Another vote for the Lamonster Top Cuff here. Very versatile, as it can be used to hold multiple items (phone, cup/bottle holder, dash cam, GPS, etc.) That combined with the Ram X-mount has served me well for over 3 years without incident holding my plus sized Iphone.

I just ordered the short stem version. Thanks for the recommendation.
