• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

really sad

:agree::gaah::lecturef_smilie: How many lives are ruined or ended in this manner every year? A tragic story that could so easily have never happened!

:agree: So sad to see lives ruined by something that could most likely been avoided had the driver been in control of the car.

As much as I know we all did it when I was a kid--- teens shouldn't drive other teens around. Michigan just passed some laws restricting some of this-- can't remember the details.

A new, young driver does not have the skills and maturity to have other teen lives under their responsibility......

Sad, sad story. I lost my 16 year old nephew about 20 years ago because he and his best friend were playing chicken on an outer road and neither of them decided to move. Two 16 year olds dead and three we're air lifted to a trauma center. My heart goes out to the familys of all.

There were four teens killed in the area this weekend. Another 16 year old was killed in the same manner in Fayetteville NC and his passenger was injured.

Here in New York there are some limitations on just who can be in the vehicle with a young driver... They figure that if you've got a car with just three or four teens in it; well that's just rolling intent! I'm actually not sure what the limitations are, but my kid sure knew them when he was still a newbie on the road!

Very tragic. I also remember doing stupid things with my friends in the car when I was a teen, although I did not think they were so stupid at the time. Many families are going to be hurting and have a hard time dealing with these losses. My heart goes out to them.

I think many of us wonder how we lived past our teen years. My thing was fast cars. I remember doing 120 MPH for 10+ miles with freinds and 140 by my myself :yikes:. This was before I knew anything about tire speed ratings and how to do a brake job.
