There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Seminole Powersports Complaint

Just wanted to pass along a complaint about Seminole Pwersports. I put my deposit down last october and was told:
14999 bike
499 shipping
299 prep
and some other under 100 dollar fee's

Picked the bike up a few months ago and had to pay

15499 bike
899 shipping
499 prep
and some under 100 dollar fee's

I did not mind the increase in prep but the shipping was a rip off
as well as charging the extra on the bike price, to make a long story short thay told me to take it or leave it, I am riding it so you know how that turned out.

The real complaint now is when they called and said it was there I told them to add the 12 votl plug and handle bar risers. At first they called back and said neither part was available so I gave part numbers and they found them. When I arrived they handed me a 12v plug in the box and told me the risers were on back order and they would send them to me. I get a call last week which is over 2 months since I got the bike and told me it would be 10 bucks to ship the risers to me. I just stubbed up told them to keep them. It is rediculous that a dealer would rake someone over the coals and get an extra grand out of me and not send me the risers.

It is really just my luck, my spyder is in the shop with no power steering, I am going nuts and have nothing better to do (since I am not riding) than set and stew over the little things in life.

Just wanted to pass on the info in case someone is looking at buying a bike from seminole powersports

I think good Spyder dealers are few and far between. :( My dealer turned out to be a real flake and tried to charge Ron another 500 bucks after he had paid for it in full. :cus: If you're in the Tampa area and are looking for a Spyder I can tell you where not to go. They have been the worst dealer experience I've ever had. Forget about them ever returning a phone call or email let alone send you the parts they didn't put on when they did the prep I paid for. The only time my Spyder will see a dealer is when they pry it from my cold dead fingers. nojoke Well maybe if they have to hook it up to the BUDS. :D

It seems that the farther South or West you go, the less happy people are with Spyder dealers. In the northeast where most dealers have been Ski-Doo dealers for years, they tend to get good to excellent reviews. Reviews tend to go downhill as the dealers have spent less time in the Bombardier family.

Just my observation.

That very well could be. The dealer here in ET seems like a good dealer. I have yet to take mine in for anything but I have bought a few parts from them and they were very helpful and did what they said they were going to do. :doorag:

I bought from West Coast Motorsports in Ft. Myers. I gotta say it's one of the first times I come away from making any big purchase where I didn't feel like I'd gotten the short in of the stick. They gave me more than a fair dollar for my trade and also gave my wife and I around $150 off a set of Scala Q2 intercoms. We spent a lot of time there making the deal and getting the bike prepped, every single worker introduced themselves to us by name and told us what they did there. They're making a custom mount for a high decibel horn to go on my wife's V-strom and we're going back this weekend to have that done and to get my 600 mile service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Very nice experience, fair prices for traid-in and for the Spyder, excellent mechanic at:
West Coast Powersport in Clearwater, FL (Werner Romahn)
14996 US Hwy 19 N, 727 536-4791

Bought mine through Higgins Power Sports, Barre, MA and these guys are great! Communication during the 10 months I waited for #2475 was excellent, Spyder was prepped, all mods done before pickup.

My 625 mile service was done at Garganos, east Haven, CT, close to home. Stu and Bob are excellent.

I'd recommend either of these two dealers to those who can make the trip.

Great service from my dealer in Pensacola, FL - Pensacola Motorsports :2thumbs: Jimmy Smith excellent salesman. No hidden costs all upfront. Even discounted my exterior storage cover by 1/3.

My dealer, Big Number 1 Yahama, in Birmingham, is a split deal. The salesman, Kevin, is cool and a great guy. The Service Manager, not going to give is real name, told me the techs didn't get training before they serviced my bike (600 mile), and charged me $360 to "practice". During my PDI review, Ryan said "I don't know" more times than I did when I was caught taking a shower with the neighbor lady.

The parts counter is so busy I have yet to get through to them on the phone. I send emails or leave a message now and wait for the response.

Since none of them are enthusiastic enough to read these forums, I have no fear of getting a service refund, or a direct line to the parts department.
