There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sena Cavalry Helmet

Has anyone had any experience with the sena cavalry helmet? My wife and I use the evo 20's with half helmets in the summer and the Modulars in the early spring but might be interested in the cavalry. We would only use it for intercom between us two. How is the fit related to other cap shells? Does it run smaller or true? I know helmets are a personal fit but just asking for how good is the intercom, product assembly as in good padding and assembly? Also can the cavalry be paired with the evo 20?

I have a cavalry, but do not use it for intercom. For phone calls it is very good. Most people cannot tell I am even on the spyder. Product assembly and padding are also very good.

I also have the cavalry, but use it only for listening to my tunes, and it is certainly good for that. As for sizing.....I have an XL HJC half helmet...it’s slightly loose fitting but a L was just too tight. My cavalry is a M and fits perfectly. Hope this helps.

I have the cavalry as well. I usually take an XL helmet, but with the cavalry, it was a medium.

I am not fond of the music abilities of the cavalry. No bass at all, and I need to play it very loud to hear any of the music. Even with just local driving around.

Hi Dave here,
Your timing is just right, I have the Cavalry helmets ON SALE

My ryding friend has one for him and his wife. They both love it. He told me to get one when it went on sale.

Really want to want one, but am still hesitant. I use my Sena 10S in both 3/4 and modular helmets. My usage is 90% tunes/10% telephone, as no riding companions use comm devices. The playing level in my enclosed helmets is near/at the top on road trips. I'm thinking I'd lose too much music volume, even with the flaps installed, at these speeds. I very seldom use my comm device for local riding, but with the Calvary, it would be built in. Reading about those who have it, it sounds like the sizing runs a bit big compared to their other helmets.

Looks like they're being discontinued. Wonder if Sena is coming out with a newer version? Don't they have a Calvary Lite version?

I pulled the trigger and bought one off Dave. I found a medium to try on locally. It fits but pushes in on my temples just a bit. I am 22.75 so when I looked at the chart I am right at the end of medium and beginning of large which means the size chart is correct. I wear a Bell 3/4 helmet and its an XL. I wear a HJC modular and it is an XL. My wife wears a Vmax L and it fits me too. I can fit in bell and HJC large but after 20 minutes they pinch just a bit. The XL is just a touch oversized but does not give me a headache. I wear a snowmobile helmet (Mod 3) by BRP with a balaclava and it is also an XL but that is a different ball game there. So for me the chart is actually running smaller when compared to just about right on. I will see. Ordered yesterday so I'm guessing it will be in mid next week. Once my wife tries it on I will buy one for her then. we wear the same helmets but hers is bit tighter since she has much more hair than me. I figured for a new 10 communicator and half cap would be more than the entire unit so thats why I was interested when I saw it on sale. I called Sena and the lady told me she could not verify that it was being discontinued but it was 50% off. I am guessing it is done with a new version this winter. I only want it for communication intercom. I listen to my radio on the road from my speakers. I will use my 3/4 for music when it gets colder. I was impressed with the foam. Surprised how hard it was but thin not like the old patrol helmets that stuck up some 4 inches above your head. intercom will connect to 20 evos the lady said and dave also said the same

Most helmets are starting to come in shaped in intermediate oval. My noggin is generally more rounded, hence difficulty when fitting. My bean is 22.25", yet I wear a size L in my Scorpion. Almost need to fit before buying..

** Looking at the size chart above, Sena goofed. While the size S and M have different CM/IN, they list the hat size as the same. FYI .."

When talking back/forth with a passenger at highway speeds, the tendency is to raise your voice and talk louder. With half helmets on, what are you going to hear? The passengers actual voice, or the voice thru the helmet speakers? Hmmmm...

Maybe both
