• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Slipping Clutch Update

A while back I reported on my buddies wife's 2010 Rt Se 5 clutch letting while they were on their way to Washington (the state) from Deadwood. I had taken my trailer up to pick it it so they could continue on their trip. He finally got it back from the dealer this week and their only comment was the clutch was bad. So no real idea why, but I suspect she wasn't keeping the RPM's up and it was heavily loaded. In the mean time she purchased a 2015 RT SE6 from a guy in CO and loves it. The RT will be for sale in the spring.

I'm sorry to hear that a nice solid reason for the problem couldn't be found... :banghead:
But I hope that she's loving the new RT!

Your right....

and now she will not have that problem with the lower rpms on the triple. Its tough for many to run at high rpms others love it....me..!! thanks for getting back to us even if they gave no reason....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a combo of low RPM and lots of weight. I told him about the readout that shows at what RPM it's been running, but I think he did the wise husband thing and kept quiet about it. Anyways she love the triple and her and my wife have a trip planned for next summer, just the girls. Since we got the '12 RT my wife has really become a real Spyder fan. Guess the 08 will be for sale next spring.
