• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sport Rack Bag

Did a dry run packing for the six day Natchez Trace ride. Givi cases filled with clothes and I wanted to keep trunk open for helmet and jacket. BRP sport rack bag is tiny and $100. BRP seat bag is huge. Did not have time to wait for delivery of other poossible rack bags. Just needed space for rain gear, jumper cables and odds and ends. Found a Stanley Cordura nylon tool bag with hard plastic bottom (16" x 8" x 9") on sale for $20. Drilled three holes in sport rack plate and three in the bag. Has two zippered compartments. Top one has two zippered waterproof pockets perfect for maps, dealer list and travel books. Main compartment holds rain gear and other odds and ends. I felt obligated to cover up the Stanley plastic name plate, so I cut out the SPYDER name from a BRP promo piece and covered it with clear contact paper. Double stick tape on an old golf trophy plate and some silicone and it covers the Stanley name. Not for everyone, but it will work for now and if I ever sell the Spyder, I'll have another tool bag, with drainage holes.

I like it--- been thinking of doing something similar - just can't find the right bag that I like.

I don't get why BRP has not come out with a real bag to snap into that rear rack!:dontknow:

:congrats:....i think i will mount GIVI top case same way....

You have to be careful when you mount anything directly to the sport rack plate so that the plate can tip forward far enough for the front lugs to engage and release. I had to experiment with the bag I used (even though it is only 8" wide) so that it did not hit the seat when tipped forward to install or take off.
