My wife saw a spyder here in Villavicencio Colombia last week before my arrival here. It is my understanding that there are only three in the entire country, so it was a rare sighting indeed. I would not reccomend that anyone ride a spyder on the streets here after seeing how they drive here. The streets are a mix of motocycles, cars, trucks, buses, and even mules and horses. The traffic looks like mass confusion with no assigned lanes and everyone tailgates. Also the streets are in bad repair with severe drop offs and potholes. Also, I went thru some very long tunnels on my trip from Bogata to Villavicencio. The tunnels were unlit with the sides and roof of rough cut stone and leaking water. It is great that we have such great roads in the U.S. where we have the opportunity to enjoy our spyders. I look foreward to riding my spyder when I return to Key Largo next week.
