• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stickers or Wraps to cover Existing Paint - any Custom or Templates?? Other ideas?

Having owned my 2024 F3S now for almost a year, I am discovering that particular areas are not holding up well when it comes to scratching, paint deterioration, etc. Does there exist a website that offers what are essentially coverings or stickers that will allow one to cover an area? For example, the front-wheel side of my gas cap, that area where the keys rest, just to the rear of the ignition key - that area is getting really beat up, although I do baby this thing. Also, those pizza shaped access panels are so scratched and the coating chipping away around the edges (a common problem, my dealer told me). I'd love to cover these areas.

I thought about making a sticker using a Cricuit machine, but find the installation hard to do. I've ruined more stickers just trying to apply them.

I also heard the recommendation of wrapping these areas, giving one far more latitude, creatively speaking...

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

Keys - my 2024 S2S key came in a sheath, so when the key is in the ignition it's just the key, with no keychain dangling on anything.

If the panels are already damaged then the choices are: 1) replace the panel, 2) cover the panel with something

Wraps are hard to install, since it takes time and some practice to apply them smoothly. Did you use a hairdryer to heat the wrap material up as you were applying it?

The film used makes a big difference. 3M2080 series is made for wrapping difficult contours. If you do a quick search, there are sites such as RVinyl that will sell this by the foot. Go slow and use a heat gun to stretch or shrink to fit your contours... it may take you a few tries to get it right, but you should be able to get good results on the small pieces you are trying to cover.
