I just replaced a damaged front trunk lid on a customer's RT. This message explains a modification necessary to complete the work.
The replacement lid from BRP was different from the original. The holes for the metal striker bar were drilled differently. The fix, confirmed by CowTown, is to drill new holes, larger diameter and further from the lid surface. Its soft plastic, so its very easy.
Photos left to right below show:
(1) Original lid striker bar holes (larger diameter and further away from lid surface)
(2) Holes in new replacement lid (smaller diameter and closer to lid surface)
(3) Replacement lid installed after new holes were drilled to match the original lid.
(4) Same as (3), from the other side.
Note: This was on an RT made in Dec 2009. After Feb 1, 2010 the latching mechanism was changed, see parts list at http://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=13e868af-ffa4-41c7-aaab-2dcf23af92f1&brands=roadster for details.
Note: I do not know if this fix applies to a GS/SE. The lid is different.
