There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tourmaster Saddlebags

Hello again wise Spyderlovers,

I've been looking for soft saddlebags and was about to go with the Nelson Riggs CL 950's, but wasn't really sold on them. This past week, I saw the Tourmaster Cruiser III Slant saddlebags and thought they might look great on the Spyder. Unfortunately, I was on a business trip to FL and didn't have the bike with me when I saw them - also none of my local dealers have them in stock. Anyone have an idea on whether they would fit on the Spyder without any major brain damage?

Any help is greatly appreciated....:helpsmilie:

Thanks ,

Steve

Last few months I have looked at over 1/2 dozen different soft bags from that many companies. I wasn't interested in slant style bags.

I chose the Road Gear Hi-Adventure saddle and side tank bags with red accent to match my Spyder. The bags are incredibly well made, reasonably priced with customer service that's hard to beat.

I wanted the connecting straps of the saddle bags to go under both the rear passenger handlebars and the seat. Road Gear supplied the adjustable clips for the rear bags. They also put longer webbing on the side tank bags because the Spyder was wider than normal. I've adjustment the saddle bags since the pic was taken and they now sit well above the exhaust even when stuffed full. The side tank bags are out of the way of my legs, etc.. The stay put even at 75 MPH (ooops, I meant 55 :D). Check em out. They meet my/our needs very, very well.

I have the Feldsheer slant (slash), small sadlebags. I like the slant style; not too much interest in the boxy look.

I wanted a small saddle bag for the REDA gas cans. They measure 12"x9 1/2"x6". This allows the passenger leg room without the need to change position of the passenger foot pegs. I know you are intersted in TourMaster; if you want to see a small size slant bag, let me know and I'll take a pic.

Here's the pics.

Here's a few pics. I'm not trying to sell you on any specific bag. But, I had a set of Cortech bags which I gave away to someone here b/c the bags interfered with my gf's legs. As you can see there is now room for the passenger's legs.

The first pic. just shows the space between the exhaust and the bag.

The 2nd pic. shows the leg room.

The 3rd pic. shows the U-bolt that I installed to prevent any possible slippage down of the bags.

The 4th pic. is of the GIVI E250. That is where I place my soft sided Kury Gran Tour bag. I may eventually purchase a GIVI top case.

The last pic. is of our Yorkie (Geisha). She jumped in the bag b/c she wants to meet Teddy. Actually I would never let her ride there. My gf has a doggie pet holder that goes around her chest and that is where Geisha stays.

Hope this helps.
