• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Truck liner, glued?

Good morning Spyderlovers! :-)

Quick question regarding the Trunk liner.

I had purchased and had installed the truck liner for my 2012 rss.

There looks to be portions of the liner and Rim that are glued to the trunk. Should that have been applied completely around the rim? It has since released and is so that every time I open the trunk, I now need to adjust the liner so it closes.

Here's a pic of the trunk and liner.

I have an RT with the frunk liner and mine does the same now and again, but not all the time.

The rubber around the top comes free sometimes, I just push it back over so it tight all the way round. It normally stays in place for a few weeks.

I would no clue it as it may need to e removed at some point to get the funk off

No Glue required

I have had the liner in my RS and RSS for 18 months, has not moved since I first fitted it.

Take the rubber bumper off, stretch the lining over the lip of the trunk, put the rubber bumper back on making sure that the edge of the lining is showing on the outside of the trunk. The bumper will keep the lining in place.

See the elastic on the liner is below the bumper...

I have never had my liner do that.

But as Yazz pointed out, maybe it wasn't installed properly.:dontknow: It needs to be installed as per her photo. Good luck.

Whatever you do, DON'T USE GLUE.:yikes:

:agree: whatever you do , don't use glue----you don't need it. i put mine in and it was quite a stretch, but it stayed in place and hasn't moved any!!!

Mine falls off quite often. There are some velcro dots that are supposed to hold the liner in then the rubber gasket goes over it. Some of my velcro pieces have come off.
