• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turtle Wax Ice

So, I've been hearing good things about Turtle Wax Ice around here. I've looked into getting some for use on Big Blue. Looking at different sites, I see there are a couple of options. For those that use it, which type do you prefer and why, liquid or paste?

Liquid Turtle Ice Wax is very easy to use, even on the black plastic trim. No wax residue left on the plastic parts.

I've been using the paste for several years and it works great. The biggest benefit is that you can actually apply it on the black plastic and rub it off easily. It does not turn white on rubber molding. I rode to Maggie Valley from Virginia and was asked if I trailered the spyder in. Maybe the Ice kept the bugs off or I was just doing a great job of dodging them. I couldn't find the paste the last time I looked but you can find the liquid. I'm sure it's just as good.

In addition to the liquid Ice wax they also make a detail version for when you are on the road. It's great stuff and being lazy it works fine for me. No big detail on the dull black plastic stuff.

Every one of their products works well. I use the paste or liquid polish for a good base, the detailer for a quick spruce-up, and even their car wash soap. The only places I don't use them is on the clear plastic and the upholstery.

Use the spray on all my vehicles. Like Scotty, I don't use it on the windscreens or seats of the Spyders.

Spray because I can squirt it on with one hand while holding a cold drink in the other.

Seriously I am forever dropping a paste rag on the floor. The spray bottle is handier

I've been using the liquid on all my vehicles for a few years. The stuff is really impressive, as stated before, works on the black plastic well. Haven't used it on the windshield or seat.
