• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Unable to play music through speakers after connecting helmet

I have a '22 RT Limited Sea to Sky. I added BT comms to my helmet: Sena Spider ST1 Mesh.

My iPhone is paired with my Spyder. Previously, I could listen to FM radio through my speakers OR my iPhone.

However, after I paired my helmet with my Spyder, I can ONLY listen to music through the helmet. I want to still be able to listen through my speakers sometimes, too.

When I look at the dash, I can see a helmet symbol at the top. And it asks if I want to connect to my helmet. It displays a green check mark and a red X. I'm assuming the red X means I don't want to connect to my helmet. However, even if I try to select the red X, the system still connects to my phone (not the radio) via BT and plays through the helmet.

No judgement comments, please, but I don't always want to wear my helmet.

I keep thinking there "should" be a way to tell the system to play through the speakers, but I can't seem to find that option anywhere on the Spyder or in the BRP app. The SENA app is no help, either.

Suggestions anyone?

I'm not sure you've seen this but there should be a switch on the panel in front of you that has a helmet and a speaker symbol. That's how you toggle from your helmet to the speakers.

Sigh. New owner. Operator error....

Thank you very much! That was it. I was just overwhelmed when getting everything connected and set up that I forgot to check THAT switch. I appreciate you!

I’ve never seen my dash ask if I want the headset to connect. It just does. (Once you’ve set it up right) You can switch from external speakers to headset by using the keypad or in settings.

You pair the phone and headsets to the bike. You DO NOT pair the headset to the phone.
