• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wanted- RT Left Fog Light

Phil

Mod Monster
I've said at other places on this forum... I'm a tinkerer not a mechanic. I was installing HIDs to replace the stock fog H8 bulbs. Right side went perfectly. Left, however.... I heard something hit the floor and it is the small plastic tab at the bottom, back of the housing that allows the black, back cover to clip in place. I sure don't remember hitting it but it's definately cracked copmpletely off.

It appears that there is not a 'partial' fix for this. Before I go order a new fog light housing, I thought I'd see if anyone HAPPENS to have one they'd like to sell.

Everything works and the lights look great. I just like things to be complete and that includes having that dust cover neatly in place.

I don't recall what that area looks like as it has been some time since I have converted mine to HIDs---but is there any way to epoxy a zip tie square on each side so you could hold the cover in place with a long zip tie?????
Just thinking out loud. C-YA RL

That MIGHT work. Actually that's a good thought. I could epoxy an entire piece of hard plastic or metal, with a slot in it. I might look at that. I was looking at a spring to wrap around the cover.

The issue is I tried to do all of this without removing the fog housing. BUT... looks like that is inevitable no matter what I do. Doesn't appear to be that hard to do though.

Thanks for the idea.
