• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Black Plastic Polish do you recommend?

I did a quick search and didn’t see anything specific on this topic. The black gloss plastic trim, 2019 F3L, on the dash and around speakers is extremely susceptible to lite scratches. I have looked at various compounds/products and almost all indicate that it shouldn’t be used on plastic. Anyone have a product they would recommend?

Thanks

There's actually been quite a bit of discussion on this subject, just enter 'Black; + plastic;' into the keyword field of an Advanced Search, and click the 'Search Titles only' option to get all these threads dating back to 2008:

Hope that lot has some good info for you!

Ps: I've moved your thread out of the 'Welcome' section (where it probably wouldn't get too many views & likely even fewer responses :sour: ) into the 'Spyder General Discussion' section, because it seems a fair few of the earlier responses are in specific model sections, but I reckon all Spyder/Ryker models share the same type of black plastic, so they probably all have the same need to keep it looking good!

I purchased some from "Lamonster" several years ago that works well...I bought 2 spray cans...Still using them...Maybe check his site for availability...larryd

I had my dash color matched to the bike by Pierre at Canamspyderaccessories.com A
As for the Speakers I had my local sign shop wrap them with clear film and they look like glass

I use F11 Top Coat on the whole bike. Shines the paint nice and makes the black look like when it was new. There are many like it. The last coat, shine armor, ect.

I use plexus on my windscreen also.
Did great on my all black 2006 Goldwing it had over 40k miles minimum scratches.

I used to use Plexus on all the plastic on my spyder. Worked good on the windshield an colored an black plastics. Never turned any of the matte black plastics white. Looks like new.
Now I use Meguiars ultimate quik wax in a spray bottle. Use it on all the plastics on spyder. Still looking good.
