There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Women's Mesh Jackets

I've been getting quite a few requests for Women's jackets. Admittedly there are nowhere near the choices available in Men's jackets. Typically, a Women's jacket has is a bit narrower in the shoulders, shorter arms and shorter lenght to the waist. Some are taylored for a slimmer torso, others are more forgiving.

Of coure I have other jackets made for women, these are just the Mesh versions.

speed and strength

I bought the red Speed and Strength a couple of weeks ago, love the fit and really comfortable. It will be great without the liner as the weather warms up. Plus it coordinates with my red spyder.

Can you give some feedback as to the fit?

I've been eyeing mesh jackets since last fall and started doing my research recently. I wanted to get a mesh jacket that offered protection in the event of a fall but something that would be cool. I tried on a few brands at at a local store but wasn't able to find anything that felt or looked like it was "the one". I emailed Ron, and over half a dozen emails he educated me on numerous brands and options each had.

I ended up purchasing the First Gear Rush mesh Jacket. I normally wear a large and it fits like a glove so I'd have to say it runs true to size. One of the things I do like about this model is that it has 250 denier poly mesh and some of the others I had tried on were 600. And all that means is that the fabric holes are much larger allowing better air flow. This jacket also has CE-rated armor in the shoulders and elbows plus an EVA foam back pad for protection. I really like the cut at the neck line because it's lower than a lot of other jackets and just feels comfortable even when zipped all the way up. It has a liner that I have been wearing on 40-50 degree mornings and up to now I only rode one or two days when it hit about 80 and it was still very comfortable to wear. I think Scotty said it best about wearing mesh in the summer "When wearing a mesh jacket it's like riding in the shade". The jacket is really sharp looking and I'm very happy so far with the fit and quality.

O yes, this thread was about womens Mesh jackets. I had to ask Ron to give me options for my wife (if another jacket showed up for me and there wasn't one in the box for her, well you know.....) we got her the First Gear Contour Mesh Jacket. It is cut for a women, also ran true to size, looks great on her and also has all the safety items we wanted like the 250 denier poly mesh and armor. We paid a little more for the First Gear but we are very happy with everything about them.

I'd like to publicly say thanks you to Ron because I've made numerous purchases from him and his prices are excellent and he always delivers very quickly.
