There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Zumo XT stopped working - anyone else had this problem? Will Garmin repair?

Riding today, my Zumo just stop working. I checked to make sure it had a good contact on the electric mount... When I got home, I plugged it into a charger, waited a while, then tried to turn it back on - nothing. I'm going to call Garmin tomorrow. Has anyone else had this problem? Does Garmin repair them? If so, how long did it take? Thanks

I have a Zumo 396. The rubber over the power switch wore down and eventually fell off, so the unit was no longer waterproof. I called Garmin to ask about a replacement cover. I was told that they don't sell replacement parts, but Garmin sent me a whole replacement unit no charge (they even paid for return shipping of my old unit) even though it was way out of warranty. Definitely give them a call.

My past Zumo XT once stopped powering on. I removed it from the Spyder and gave it a long charge in the house. Just needed a good long term charge.

Garmin support is very good. I had a 590 go bad and they replaced it with a refurbished 595 at no cost.

The 595 software had a bug that crashed the system when trying to access 'what's ahead' function. I reported it and they patched within 2 days.

Hard to find fault with them and I spent my entire career in tech support.

Called Garmin tech line and told the tech what happened. He told me to plug it into the electrical outlet (even though I'd already charged it for a number of hours) and told me to hold the button for at least 30 seconds, or until the screen was displayed. It came on in about 25 seconds and works now. He said it needed to be rebooted. I don't know if it being it plugged in does something different, because I held the button in yesterday and it did nothing, but I did charge it, which it should not have needed since it was hooked to the power on the bike. I don't know if it was low because I could not get it on. Happy with Garmin. Tech was great.
