Well then if they really are SERIOUS about retaining you as a customer, they would send you the right thing, if they have it, and include in the package a pre-paid return label for the incorrect ones.

I believe the new 2018 models have the GPS integrated into the instrument panel... I've got one on order due in January so will see how that works.

Casual reading of posts here makes me think that you supply your own "GPS" via a smart phone app.

They may very well do so; I just haven't made it a priority. I'll post if anything changes. Thanks.

In the meantime just put a strip or two of black electrical tape over the contacts when the Zumo is not mounted.

YIKES. :shocked:

If the sticky part of the tape touches the contacts, you will NOT like the long term results.

Securing a plastic bag over it would be a much better solution.

The rubber caps I bought will do the trick and look better than a plastic bag . But, thanks for the idea.
