• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2024 F3T vibration at 3800 to 4000 rpm - any ideas?

When I am driving and my revs are around 3800-4000 rpm, I feel a vibration in the engine/transmission area. If I accelerate a litte or decelerate a litte, it goes away. It does not matter what gear or speed I am traveling in/at. It is not a very bad vibration, but is noticeable. It is ONLY at these certain revs.

Any ideas what this is? Belt?

Bike only has 1000 miles on it.

Not so sure it is the belt. My observations of belt vibes have only been at a certain speed - on mine, about 62 to 65mph. If feeling it in every gear at a given rpm, methinks it is something caused by the engine. Could just be harmonics coursing throughout the frame and/or handlebars at that given rpm. And that opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it!

Love that closing comment! Lmao.
Just wanted to add a little nugget that the vibration I dealt with was within a given rpm range, regardless of the gear or speed. My belt was way too tight, and the rear tire air pressure too high. I reduced both and problem was completely resolved. I'll look for the thread and link it in here.

Try typing the word 'vibration ' into the Search field (up towards the top right of the page); tick the 'Search titles only' box; submit the search; then spend some time reading all of the many, many, many threads with titles suggesting that they refer to this issue.

And you don't really need to restrict your reading to just F3's either, as the F3's and the RT's share the same power plant and driveline, with the only real difference being the seating style and the belt length, which really only varies the rev range a little - as does the belt tension! ;)

BTW, it ALWAYS pays to do a little searching and reading before starting a new thread - after all, there's not much about Spyders that hasn't already been asked, discussed, and often answered in the almost 2 decades the Forum has been helping owners share this sort of info, discussion, and fixes.
