• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else getting this "Update Server Unreachable" message for Software Update Ver 4.1?

I own a 2024 RTL and have been notified there is a software update 4.1. I have successfully updated the bike on my home WiFi for both 2.1 and the 3.1 updates. So I have tried numerous times to download and install the latest 4.1 update but with no success. The message is that the server is unreachable. I have had no real issues with my Apple Car Play since finally getting the software a year ago in July. I have a fellow Spyder Ryder here in Florida who was able to install the 4.1 update, so I'm sure it is out there somehow.

Today I dropped by my dealer and explained the problem, but I found out their service or sales staff didn't even know there was another update available. Also, the dealer's WiFi signal was too weak to connect to my bike.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or gotten the "unreachable" message? I know there are many Ryders on this forum who will give me better feedback than either the dealer or BRP. Thanks.

Sorry, but I can't help you with any info about the update per se, but if you can't download it at your place, and you know someone who has been able to successfully download it at there's, I think there's a good reason to reach out and talk about paying them a visit & coming to some agreement about downloading & doing the update at theirs... ;)

At the very least, you'll be able to see if your Spyder gives you the same message there, in which case it's either your machine, or the server truly is unreachable by anyone for now!! At best, you'll get the download & update completed successfully; and either way, you'll to do get a bit of a ride & spend some time with another Spyder Ryder. 😊

Thanks for your response. I have actually thought about doing just that, however my friend is riding in the Black Hills of South Dakota this past week and won't be back until next week. I will update this thread with any solution I eventually find. ;)

I was able to connect and download the 4.1 BRP Connect update on July 7th using the WiFi network in my house.
When I was downloading the update it did mention that it included some bug fixes for Apple CarPlay.

On July 15th I took it for a ride that lasted a little over 3 hours. Most of the trip was on backroads at 30-35 MPH, although there was one section at 55 mph.

The update worked flawlessly.

Equipment:

2024 CAN-AM Spyder RT Sea2Sky with the BRP Connect 4.1 update installed
Apple iPhone SE 2nd Gen
SENA 3S Plus Boom Microphone Kit in an HJC C91 modular helmet

@XEXMNR, do you have any firewalls setup in your WiFi router? If you do, you might want to try disabling them and then try the update.
Peder, this sounds like a likely cause for the "unreachable" message. Unfortunately I am not overly knowledgable as to how to disable a firewall. I have an Eero router and an App that connects with my phone. I went through the menu items on the App and all I could find is how to block/allow sites. So I entered the can-am.brp.com web address, but that didn't seem to work. Perhaps the update server uses a different address? Anyhow, I appreciate your advice.

If your bikes hooked up to your router before in the past have you changed anything since your last good update? Maybe you have to get into your bike settings and delete your router from the bike and reinstall it! Just shooting in the dark!!
