There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Dates for next year are a little different. Starting on Saturday instead of Sunday, and ending on Wednesday instead of Friday - 11-15 July 2026. Will share more info as it comes out. There is another route just paved from Rochford to Deerfield Lake, making it possible to get to the Central Hills without going through Rapid City and the construction and rough road of Hwy 385. It is a nice ride!

When will we be able to reserve rooms at the Travelodge?

Now that dates are nailed down, I would think registration and lodging will be available in the near future.

Wife and I are both registered and room reserved. Both have newer bikes, her 2023 was bought from Rices in 2024, it was a carryover Sea to Sky, as we had a lot of issues with her 2014 which spent a lot of time in their shop. Wade took great care of us and we are happy with this dealer. I traded in my 2014 locally in Spokane for a new 2025 Sea to Sky and it's like going from a Yugo to a Cadillac! We are looking forward to the Rally and riding the Black Hills instead of all the time in the shop. This will make the 3rd Rally for us. It was at the previous rallies where we met Lamont and Joan, two very great people who would do anything for you and are a wealth of information.

I’m doing some initial route planning for the 2026 rally and seeking advice from Spyder riders who’ve been to Deadwood later than my first trip in 2018. I will be coming from Broken Bow, NE through Chadron initially on US-385N. At Maverick Junction I have the option of continuing on Route 79/Heartland Expy that will take me through Rapid City to I-90 or turning West on US-18/385 directly into Deadwood. I prefer the latter option because of the topography and because I dislike interstate highways. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully 385 construction will be completed by then. From Sheridan lake to Pactola is currently pretty rough in spots.

A scenic option might be to take this route. The road is now paved from Deerfield lake to Rochford.

Thank you very much. That's exactly the kind of information I need to know.

I just got my hotel booked, but I'm not finding the registration for the rally, I could use some help?

Click on the link in post #5 of this thread, then when the page paints up, scroll down past the header and the first batch of pics and click on the red rectangular 'REGISTER' button that's just above the Rally Schedule. 😉

Do you need to register? We are going Monday to Thursday and would like to ride a lot and look around. Just interested why I need to register?

This ^ sounds like you want to go and be a part of the event without bothering about registering...

As a person who's been involved in putting more than just a couple of similar events on, but does no longer because of the personal and financial cost and commitment doing this entails (I was forced to retire cos my body rejected the amount of work, and organising/running events was no less draining!) I reckon that I might understand a little more than most the amount of often unappreciated time, $$, and effort that goes into the organisation of this sort of event, so I personally reckon that it'd still be very cheap and no true reflection of the actual cost involved at twice the registration fee.

That said, I'd suggest that if you're going there at the time of the event and want to partake &/or be a part of the event in any way; if you intend to take part in any of the rides, etc; &/or avail yourself of any of the facilities/accommodation/events/vendors etc that the organisers have arranged/put on as a part of the event, then you really should register, not only out of politeness, but also at the very least to let the organisers know that they've actually got however many people people coming and taking part so that they can ensure they've got everything they need covered for all the people they know are attending!

It's tough enough pulling something like this together to start with, but if people just rock up and expect to be able to have anything to do with the event without registering, maybe even causing some who did do the right thing and registered to miss out, then how long do you think the organisers are going to bother continuing to make the significant effort and incurring all the costs of arranging and organising an event like this just to let the free-loaders bludge off those who did do the right thing?! 😖

If you want to be there and have anything to do with the event, then you should register and be a part of it; or you can choose not to register and instead, potentially be a part of ruining it for everyone else, not just for the organisers, but also for all those who've done the right thing and registered, and thru your selfishness you'll maybe even be contributing to making the event cease happening in the future. 🤨 Do you really need to ask me how I know this sort of thing does occur?! 😠

Just Sayin' 😒

$50 just to let people know I’ve been there. You’ve got to be kidding me I’ve been to numerous events. I never paid that much money matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve ever paid anything that’s an outrageous amount of money seemed like a money grabbers to me.

You don't HAVE to pay that much, just don't go/be a part of it!

But...

2 Years ago I also thought $50 was too much to attend a rally so we just dropped in to check it out. We discovered that we were unable to drive into the event and had to park elsewhere and walk in. With the $50 registration fee it helps the planners to decide number of attendees. With registration you are also able to receive better hotel rates and a swag bag with other offers as well as being able to park at the event and come and go as you please. I attended last year and paid my $50 and enjoyed it more and we have already registered for 2026 and made hotel reservations.
