• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Tech less expensive than a dealer

This is a plug for a less expensive experienced Spyder mechanic in the Atlanta area.

Garrett Miller now runs Gearhead Motorsports in Conyers, Ga (east of Atlanta on I-20). Garrett is an experienced tech on Can Am machines with factory training. He used to be at Mountain Motorsports before going out on his own.

I can recommend him as he has worked on my wife's '10 RT quickly and efficiently.

He can be reached at 678-562-0078.

I have no dog in this hunt other than trying to save Spyder Ryders some cash.

I hear you Rick. It's always nice to have a trusted alternantive to over-priced dealers. Congrats on a great find!

I also use an experienced tech on Can Am machines with factory training that is working for Motosports in Bluffton SC. (843-645-9000) Brent used to work at Hilton Head Motorsports before they went out of business. Prices are about 1 third less than Dealer's service dept.
I have used them for tire changes and a few mods. Will probably be taking my :spyder: there after my service contract runs out (one last visit).

Unfortunately, if I want any updates or warranty work, its 75 miles to the BRP dealer, since they are the only ones w. B.U.D.S.:sour:

Great to have someone you can count on:thumbup:

The only problem I can see and as mentioned above--would be BUD's diagnosis and warranty work. Probably great for general maintainance.
