That was a very severe test. Most rain storms don't give that much water with that much force (some do). I too, hate my rain gear. It is too much trouble, and too hot in the summer. I will do almost anything to avoid wearing the hated rain gear. I was hoping the jeans would work. It looks like I will have to continue getting wet and then drying off. Get wet, dry off, repeat cycle.

Interesting... Not to sure if I agree with that (Not countering or arguing, just adding thoughts here). I ryde in the rain and it hits pretty hard when on the highway. I guarantee that hose is not spraying @ 60mph...

I cannot figure out why, but even our Tourmaster $400 rain gear set leaks in the crotch area when water puddles up as I ryde. Drives me nuts! I did not see the setting on the hose as being high pressure as I use this very setting to rise soap off our vehicles or water the plants with. Now if he had used the straight spray.. That IMHO would be silly and extreme.

Respectfully a member of the Wet and Soggy...

New contest at Lamonster BBQ: what company sell the best raingear?
I will demo the new BRP One Piece Rain Suit item # 440535.
Anybody else?

True, if you sit on water (between you and a seat), no matter what you have on, unless it's plastic, will leak...and even then, you'll likely get condensation that will make the inside lining wet...

Be sure that when you sit down, and the suit bunches up, that the folds are not collecting water. This will come in above the gussets, and will wind up in the crotch. Happens to me whenever I forget to see which way the bunching is folded. Folded down can also funnel water, but only at speed in a driving rain, as the wind pushes it up into the fold faster than it can drain away.

Interesting idea--but I am going to pass on these.

Its often to cool to ride here in just jeans.

I have a pair of the kevlar lined jeans--but usually wear a pair of chaps over them when riding.

I prefer the ATGATT mode for riding--but know that can be a problem when riding in areas where the temp is 90+.

dragginjeans with armour and I'm not concerned with getting wet; I'll dry off.

I've been in contact with Aaron from legal speeding and he seems to think I got a pair that was not treated right from the factory. I really hope he's right because these will be cool if they work. He's going to get them to send me another pair.

Just a follow up here.
I sent the pants back 10 days ago Priority Mail to Anderson SC where the pants are made. That is about 150 miles from me. I still don't have a replacement pair back even though I was told that I should have them "within a week". I made a phone call yesterday and asked if they had heard anything about my pants and that it would be nice if they were on the way here as I was taking off on another trip this weekend and I could sure use them as I'm sure I'll be hitting some rain. There was a little dance on the phone as far as me not getting them in time for my trip but he would place a call in my behalf. I then sent a follow up email yesterday stating it had been 9 days since I sent the pants back.

The communication with legal speeding has been good but the results of the product have not up until this point. I'll give them the fact that I may have got a pair of pants that were not treated right but it shouldn't take 10 days or more to ship me a new pair from a 150 miles away. Right now I'm not very happy with this whole situation other than Aaron from legal speeding has been good at getting back to me when I contact him. I'll keep you in the loop as to how this all turns out.

One question, and while I admit I am not one that has ridden in the rain that much, but does the rain flow (or spray) on you as hard, and closely consecrated as the hose would have? I know when ryding the force is harder as you are ryding thru the down pore, but would the rain drops be as consecrated as a hose will? Maybe a better test would be to have another person hold the hose about 15 to 20 feet away, and spray Lamont while sitting on his spyder. This could replicate the random and spaced out pattern of rain. I say sitting on his spyder as a person is sitting on it when ryding. Another benefit would that when Lamont is done with the test he can wash his spyder without worrying about getting his clothes wet :roflblack:

When you ride in the rain it gets to places you didn't even know you had, And like Lamonster said. You sit in water

Thanks Lamont for giving those britches a good test! :2thumbs:
I guess that the TourMaster is remaining as my main axe with which to battle the Rain Gods...
Hey... does this mean that we've gone from a "PG" site to "R"? :D

Was that your back yard? It looks like a GREAT place to unleash a couple of ATVs...

talk about putting yourself in the line of fire thanks for testing those and please let us know what happens with them when you get the " real " product back .

Washing instructions for water proof jeans ? hmmmm :roflblack:

FYI

Still no replacement pants and I called yesterday and was told they would make a phone call to see what's going on. Today I sent an email saying either next day my pants to me or refund my money. Still haven't heard anything back. I'm pretty much done at this point.
