• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was half expecting the Secret Service to be at my door when I got home from work today, cause the Pres. is making a speech about the Brent Spence Bridge that spans the Ohio River from Ohio to KY & its right across the way from where we live. I have a vid. cam set up at the site he's going to be making the speech from, tho I have a direct line of site, my camera zoom isn't all that good, and its about a mile direct across from us. They have him live on the news now that he just landed at the CVG airport. If you happen to watch the speech, and you see some gray colored condos that are built up on piers right off the Ohio River, in the background of the Pres. well, thats where Teddy Lives :thumbup: Just thought I'd share, kinda neat to be in the background of history -LOL :D
 
Just be careful that they don't come looking for you because of the binoculars and BIG lenses that you've got pointed in his direction.. :lecturef_smilie: :roflblack:

Well, It wasn't Secret Service

But our local cops came by & told us & our neighbors that we had to go inside, off our balcony's while the Pres's Motor-cade goes over the bridge. As soon as he crossed, we were allowed back out. He's speaking now, Kinda neat, I can actually see him plain as day with my mono-nocular. Tho, he has his back to me at the podium :dontknow:

Teddy's Mow-Hawk is now Secret Service Approved

The lady Secret Service Agent really liked Teddy's Mow-Hawk :thumbup: They were alot nicer than I thought they would be.

Knocked, asked what I was doing & why. If I liked the Pres. or not. If they could come in & look for themselves. She was shocked when she looked through the mono-ocular & could directly see the Pres's back. Commented to the male agent with her, "He's got a direct line of site." Looked all over at the electronics, asked if i had any weapons. Commented again on the great view we've got. Then she asked about Teddy & his mow-hawk, how I did it & if he likes it, cause she did :2thumbs: She noted that Skydie (Teddy's cat) didn't like her much, cause she hissed at the lady agent. Then upon leaving, walked past Louies cage & asked if I had a Ferret, to which I showed them Louie, my pet Chinchilla. The guy asked about him, and then they were both out the door & on their way. Guess they decided we weren't much of a threat after all :D

Wow, that was our first experience with the United States Secret Service & also seeing the President in person, albeit by afar. But I did get pics & video :D When she asked why, I said, "Cause its not every day the President comes by, so its kinda neat to record a bit of history.";)

Didn't 3 big black Chevy Suburbans scream up to the front door and sixteen Secret Service agents jump out with guns drawn yelling "on the floor m......."

Oh well, what a disappointment........
